Historic week. Tomorrow will mark the inauguration of Barack Obama as the first Black American President. He represents an opportunity to make changes to the way in which things have been done, to bring back confidence to our financial and social systems, and to generally make us all feel better about ourselves. Let’s hope that he gets the kind of help from all quarters to make changes, impact the world at large, and establish some new directions for this new century. Simply going into office marks a major change that many of us would never have foreseen when we were young adults. It does prove that change can happen and that we are capable of looking forward with hope and goodwill.
